After talking to mom on the phone until 1am, I took today to sleep in a little. The temperatures are creeping back up (high eighties according to the forecast), and since I didn't have anything planned for the day I decided to make it a day of relaxation. I had a nice corn flake breakfast and lounged around until early afternoon when I headed out to Target for a few things I've been needing. It was entirely too huge and even had an escalator! Since people use carts at Target, there is a separate escalator that pulled the carts up! Around 6:30 I headed out for dinner before meeting Gilly and her work friends for a movie. I had planned to go to a place called Bagel Bob's, but when I got there it was gone! I thought I'd find something to eat on my way to Gilly's work (something I've been incorrectly assuming a lot lately), but there was nothing. I wandered around the neighborhood until I saw this place:
I had seen Two Boots To Go-Go on the map, so I went there. It's a pizza place with pizza by the slice and calzones. Many of their pizzas are named after famous people of characters. The slice I chose had garlic, cheese, spinach, and sliced tomatoes and was called "The Larry Tate" (Bewitched, anyone?). How appropriate that the pizza that appealed to me was named for a TV character! It was very tasty!
The movie didn't start until 11:55, so we had a lot of time to kill. We sat around at a little plaza and watched the mice running around. Before we went to the movie we stopped by a little grocery for candy. They had a special kind of water that I just had to photograph for Lisa!
The movie was okay (it was The Last Airbender- Gilly's a fan of the TV show). It was nothing better or worse than I expected. We took a long train ride home and got in around 3:30. I haven't been up that late in ages and I'll be perfectly happy not to do it again for a long time.
