To My Mama!

Today was a very pleasant day. I was up early so Gilly could show the apartment (she has to find someone new to take over the lease in September). I made steel cut oats for breakfast and sat in the nook, playing sudoku while I ate. The apartment was at a perfect temperature and the morning was so relaxing. I'm going to miss the nook when I leave!
I headed out around 11 and stopped at the post office (post cards are on the way!). On the way there I saw a K-Mart with this on the window.
I took a picture for mom!
Then I went to an NYU coffee shop called Think Cafe. I got a brie and granny smith apple sandwich and an iced chai tea. Both were excellent! I stuck around there for a couple hours and made the second of the baby booties I'm working on. It's a really nice coffee shop and I think I'll go back! Next was a trip uptown to Michael's for a color of yarn the Lion Yarn store didn't have in stock. The store was not that big. It was probably smaller than the one in Columbia, but they had the yarn and I headed home to work on the rug. On the train home I had a nice conversation with the guy next to me- New Yorkers can be friendly!
Interning again tomorrow! I'll take pictures of the building (probably?).
