Union Square

Today was Union Square day. I started off exploring the shops and managed to get some clothes (much needed so I don't have to do super expensive laundry as frequently). I wandered around the park for a bit:
Next I went back to the Lion Yarn store to get a color I need for the rug I'm working on. If I was staying in New York I would apply for a job there in a second! It's so nice there. This time I took pictures of the other things they covered with knitting.
Door handles
Bike rack
Something?

I got home just before it started to rain. Saturday it was supposed to rain all day, but didn't at all. Today was supposed to be completely dry, but it rained! It was a really pleasant rain. I sat in the nook and did crosswords while watching the rain. Saturday night I made artichoke heart pizza for Gilly and me and I had the delicious leftovers for lunch along with a refreshing slice of watermelon. I didn't have anything planned for the evening, so I decided to go to the movies. I found a theater in Bay Ridge (the neighborhood just below mine) and headed there. I saw Toy Story 3 first. It was cute and not too disappointing. Then, since I had nothing better to do I saw Despicable Me. It was adorable! I would really recommend it! One of the best movies I've seen in a while. I'm definitely going to stick with that theater while I'm here. It's older and smaller, so the movies weren't in 3D!
